Do you offer a trial or demo of PowerStore?
WebAssist does not provide trials or demos of our pre-built PHP solutions.
Can PowerStore be used without any coding knowledge?
Yes. PowerStore our eCommerce Solution can be used without any prior coding knowledge.
Can I replace PowerStore 2 with PowerStore 3?
If you have a PowerStore 2 installation already running, you can replace the PowerStore 2 files with PowerStore 3. Then follow the tutorial here for instructions on upgrading your PowerStore 2 database to work with the PowerStore 3 files.
Note: If you made any custom modifications to the PowerStore pages, these will be lost.
Can PowerStore be rebranded, e.g. can I change the logo with a different one?
Yes. PowerStore is white label therefore there are no restrictions on rebranding.
Can PowerStore be used without a database?
PowerStore requires a MySQL database to operate. However, you only need to create the table and have the credentials for accessing that database. PowerStore’s Installation Wizard will handle creating all the necessary database tables for you.
Do you need to own other WebAssist products to use PowerStore?
No, you do not need to own other WebAssist products to use PowerStore. PowerStore is a complete pre-built online store, therefore your purchase of PowerStore will provide you with everything necessary to setup and start your online store.
How is PowerStore licensed (i.e. how many stores can I set up)?
When you purchase PowerStore, you receive a developer's license to develop unlimited number of eCommerce websites - all for one low cost.
Can the details, such as price, be different for each product option?
Yes, all details for each individual product option (including price, image, cart description, short description, and long description) can be specified and customized for each individual product option you create. In addition, PowerStore 3 includes two new types of options (Simple and Conditional) which cannot have different product details than the primary product.
I want to use PayPal to process payments. Is PayPal Payments Pro required?
No. PowerStore 3 allows you to use PayPal Express Checkout as an alternative payment method. However, this uses Remote Checkout which sends your customer to PayPal’s website to process the purchase.
Can I use PowerStore to sell digital goods?
At this time PowerStore is not setup to sell digital goods.
What type of checkout does PowerStore utilize?
PowerStore utilizes local checkout which allows the entire payment process for your customers to occur directly on your eCommerce website rather than having the customer directed to the payment gateway to complete their payment (remote checkout). WebAssist feels that local checkout provides the most professional and seamless user experience for customers therefore have implemented this type of checkout within PowerStore.
How does PowerStore handle taxes?
PowerStore allows you to specify the tax rate for the state in which you do business. However, any purchases made by customers outside of the state your business operates in, do not have to pay taxes - this is automatically accommodated for within PowerStore. Those who do not wish to charge a sales tax at all, or include this tax in the price of their products, can simply set the tax rate to 0.
How does PowerStore handle international shipping rates?
PowerStore allows you to choose an international shipping option based off of the shipping provider that you use. The option you choose will be used to calculate the rate for shipping to countries outside of the country you do business within. For all shipments shipped within your country ground shipping will be used to calculate rates.
Do you have a return policy?
Since PowerStore, our eCommerce solution, is a non-tangible irrevocable (non-activated) product we do not issue refunds once the order has been completed and the product has been delivered via your Download Center.
